I am 21 and I plan to move to Kiev once I finish my degree. Does anyone have any advice for a Russian speaker who is already thinking about finding a job and a flat next summer? And how important is the Ukrainian language in the business side of Kiev? Obviously I will be starting with low-profile work.

Hi, you will be absolutely comfortable with Russian in Ukraine. If you plan to stay in Kyiv - Russian will work everywhere. English will help too :-) Ukrainian language becomes more and more popular among young people - about your age and younger.
