"Building Europe in Ukraine" in Bila Tserkva
« on: 09:29 18-Sep-2013 »
On September 14th, 2013, in Bila Tserkva, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Jan Tombinski has officially presented information campaign "Building Europe in Ukraine". He has also inaugurated a new EU Information Centre, which will be operating on the basis of the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University.

The information campaign has been presented to Bila Tserkva citizens during a communication event "Imagine a European Ukraine, it starts here!" Drawing on a wish wall, city dwellers and event's guests expressed their visions of a "European Ukraine". The improvised wish wall reflected the way how the citizens see the European vector of their country and which European values and standards they currently lack. "Freedom of speech", "fair courts", "open borders", "accessible healthcare", "good scholarships", "high-quality roads" are examples of those values and standards which Ukrainians would like to achieve on their way to the EU. "Europe starts from you", EU Ambassador Jan Tombinski wrote on the wish wall, calling to build Europe in Ukraine together.

Peace is the failure of the military to convince the government that it can and should kick its enemies ass.

I was gonna say "And so did the East Germans and Russians." But I guess that wouldn't be PC today right?
So ... I didn't say it or type it and this message is invisible.
