Photo to text to translation

Does anyone know of an app that will translate a photo of a sign or any text photographed?

I can basically read much of the writing I encounter in business signs etc but I don't know WHAT I am reading. I think it would grow my vocab if I could translate stuff on the spot.

google translate does that on Android (the camera option)

The new model  Xiaomi   phones have this very specific feature on tap.
The models being sold in Ukraine currently ( as of a few weeks ago) are earlier models fwiw
 Model releases since April have it.
These are terrific phones at a very fair price at do near enough everything  of phones  3 & 4 times the price.
Anyone wanting advice/opinion-- ask ! :)

There was a recent story discussing that Xiaomi places ads in even basic function areas of the menus, like settings.

Or you can rent a little Roma kid for a bag of candy and have the kid translate for you.

And how much are they going for? I bought an iphone 6 off ebay for 200 before I came, it has worked ok. My only tech problem is the Wi-fi locater on my ipad is weak and does not pick up a less than strong signal. My macbook pro is super charged, it picks up signals from half the neighborhood.

Between about USD $ 180 to $300
I can give you some precise models if needed.
They make so many models it can gt confusing !They are one of the biggest manufacturers and have not even tried to sell phones in western countries .
There are  Mi stores opening all over Ukraine now .

The iPad Pro has superb wifi - much better than my 3 years old iPhone 6. The iPad also offers me half the neighbourhood. Interesting that in our Odessa area, perhaps 20% have unsecured in that they do not require a password but they are avoided at all costs.

3 years -- no problem( touch wood) Just buying another one now.
I hear first hand from others good report.
They recently listed in the US for massive dollars -- so I am not alone in thinking ok--plus  an awful lot of Chinese and Indians !
They are only now looking towards western countries  to sell -- and have not exactly staked their future on suceess--they already are !

I will repeat it -- even their more basic phones are far better than most users !
