Millionaires Go Missing
Maryland's fleeced taxpayers fight back.
Wall Street Journal MAY 27, 2009

Maryland couldn't balance its budget last year, so the state tried to close the shortfall by fleecing the wealthy. Politicians in Annapolis created a millionaire tax bracket, raising the top marginal income-tax rate to 6.25%. And because cities such as Baltimore and Bethesda also impose income taxes, the state-local tax rate can go as high as 9.45%. Governor Martin O'Malley, a dedicated class warrior, declared that these richest 0.3% of filers were "willing and able to pay their fair share." The Baltimore Sun predicted the rich would "grin and bear it."

etc etc....

Not so fast....

Good point but only serves to reinforce the matter further.  Keep increasing taxes when incomes are going down - great way to create jobs!   Doesn't much matter if they moved or if they lost wealth - though the first is far funnier and yes some of them are moving, believe it or not.  Yes, lots simply lost money and with it their millionaire title.  That is worse, even fewer people to bail government out of trouble.  Wait, that's a good thing!

Keep raising taxes though.  Keep supporting those who do.  Let them keep borrowing money, printing money and do everything except get a balanced checkbook. Let the government take over your business, too.  Almost inclined to think the Security Fence on the Texas Border was created to keep Americans out of Mexico!    ;D
We cannot afford governments that cannot afford to take care of our veterans.

Frankly, though, I am more interested in getting to the bottom of this:
