corrected:
A zinc product called Zicam has been recalled over safety issues.  Zinc products intended to be used directly on nasal tissues can cause temporary or permanent loss of olfactory sensation.

Can anyone, David included, please tell me what David's post 3 above this one is? All I can see is a gigantic "quote" without any comments.

Perhaps too much beer earlier this evening is making me short-sighted! Hic, cough, splutter .......... sniffle!

I fixed my post above.  I was just trying to make a brief comment about some zinc products destroying the nasal receptors, ruining the sense of smell.
