Dutch giving up...
« on: 19:35 21-Sep-2007 »
Very sorry to learn, that the Dutch government decided - due to a few legal-tech reformulations - not to ask the people, not to apply democracy, but just to 'integrate' unconditionally into the EU.
For me, it's of course worse that this is seen as 'an example set for Denmark'.
There can never be one referendum too much - in a democracy ;).

Who said you're a part of the demos? Most people don't bother to learn what democracy is and that's a common source of misunderstanding. For example, there is an old joke: democracy is a dictatorship of the democrats but I'm not aware it's actually the joke as it clearly explains ways things are going in Ukraine.

Snip : democracy is a dictatorship of the democrats but I'm not aware it's actually the joke as it clearly explains ways things are going in Ukraine.

Agree 100% and then some more!
