Title: Insurance and 14day isolation for PR holder???
Post by: keving41 on 01:01 10-Jul-2020
Hello, haven?t posted here in a while.

I?m a dual citizen usa/Germany   I have a permanent resident permit that is attached to my USA passport.  I haven?t been to Ukraine since the start of covid, I?ve been in Germany The last couple of months And North Africa and USA before that.  Now I want to fly to Ukraine.  How I understand I don?t have to do the 14 day isolation because I?m traveling from the green zone countries?  How do I prove I?ve been there For the last 14 days? will recipes or screen shots of my bank account with bank withdrawals In Germany be proof I?ve been in Germany(green zone) and not in usa(red zone), or how about a receipt for iPhone I purchased?  Also, how I understand permanent resident holders do not have to buy insurance? Is that correct?  If anyone can give me more info especially if you had experience with this in the last while I would appreciate it.
-Kevin

And as a side bonus you shouldn't need the China Virus insurance, But I'd double check on that.

What passport stamps I entered and excited the eu with my German passport so the eu border guards don?t stamp my passport.  There is no record In my passport of me entering and exciting the eu.

Ah so then if you use your German passport you might have little to no problem then?

That seems very unusual. They stamp mine every time even with my PRP.

Yes but you have a US passport! Bloody foreigner!  8) Mind you, Keving is referring to Germany for which he holds a German passport.

I know. I thought that all passports were routinely stamped on entry and exit.

You mean to get into Ukraine use my german passport?  My PRP is attached to my us passport.  What I guess I?ll have to try is show them my PRP, Us passport and German passport and some receipts of things I bought in Germany the last couples weeks and maybe a print out of a ticket of when I last time flew to Germany.

True but Kevings was referencing his entry/exit Germany to prove to the UA border people that he came from Germany! EU states do not stamp one's passport upon entry/exit and he wanted to prove he had been staying in Germany.

Yeah, I see! You may have to, but if they are reasonable, they will get it.
